The Christie Charity raises funds to help provide additional services and undertake vital research for our cancer patients. As one of Europe’s leading cancer centre’s, treating more than 40,000 patients a year every penny really does count.

Also on the same day our Practice Manager, Gayna Horridge, will be taking part in Race for Life at Haigh Hall in Wigan in aid of Cancer Research UK, the UK’s leading cancer charity.

Our award winning dental practice is delighted to announce that our very own receptionist scooped the award for Receptionist of the Year at the Dentistry Awards held in London last week.

Barbara Whittaker is the first line of contact at the Cahill Dental Care Centre, Higher Bridge Street, Bolton. Barbara has been with the practice for 10 years after 27 years working in the School Meals Service. Barbara’s naturally warm and welcoming personality endears her to the patients and staff alike, who are all over the moon for her.

The acclaimed Dentistry Awards are held annually to celebrate the achievements made by professionals in the dental field. The awards ceremony took place last week, at a glittering black tie gala dinner at the luxurious Lancaster London Hotel. Barbara was there in person to collect her award, supported by Dr Michael Cahill.

Barbara said, “It was such an amazing experience, to have been shortlisted was fantastic, but the whole experience of the gala and the awards was just out of this world, and then to win…that was more than I could have ever hoped for!” Barabara’s award now takes pride of place in the newly refurbished reception at the Cahill Dental Care Centre.
