Dermal Fillers Treatment

Dermal Fillers are biodegradable implants that are injected directly into the dermis of the skin to help improve the appearance of lines and wrinkles.

There are 2 main types of fillers, Collagen and Hyaluronic Acid. Both of these materials are found naturally in our skin, where they give support, volume and tone. As these vital components become less abundant, the dermis is weakened, causing a noticeable impact of the appearance of the skin.

Because Collagen is a naturally occurring protein, approximately 2% of the population will be allergic to it, so a skin test must be carried out at least 28 days prior to treatment. Hyaluronic Acid is not protein based, and therefore does not require a skin test.
